A list of random factoids about me:
- I’ve just hit 40
- I live on the east coast of England just two miles from the sea with my dad
- I’m owned by a fluffy cat named Jake and his impressive Tail
- I have a younger sister, the amazing and fantabulous @abjectcheddar
- I’m female-to-male transgender, but think gender roles are bollocks and think people should be able to express themselves however they want – you can check out my transition timeline if you’re interested
- I have persistent anxiety and depression, but I’m on medication and I’m mostly okay
- Fuck cancer – my mum died from liver cancer in 2016, it was sudden and I still haven’t processed it properly
- I’m a type 1 diabetic, and also have hypothyroidism – both conditions can lave me feeling fatigued quite easily
- I don’t have a gallbladder – the little bugger got infected back in 2011 and involved a drip to Accident & Emergency, morphine, a declaration of love to a nurse, several days in hospital on strong antibiotics, staining NHS pillows as I had a fever and I’d just dyed my hair purple, and finally removal of it in 2012
- I’m asexual but identify as gay because I do find guys pretty damn attractive
- I very rarely drink alcohol as most of it tastes foul – exceptions are Stag’s Breath whisky and Chambord as both are sweet liquers, but I only have a small glass once in a blue moon
- I hate being drunk, the feeling is horrible and it all goes to my bladder
- I’m a non-smoker and I hate the smell
- I have nothing against responsibly-used drugs, I just don’t use or want to use them
- Unless you count Ambien a couple of times a month – I have sleeping problems and Ambien helps when it’s bad, but it makes me hilariously high
- I enjoy taking photographs, but haven’t done much serious photography in the past few years, partly because work uses my energy, partly because I’m bored with the local subjects
- I love reading (especially fanfiction), and enjoy high fantasy, horror and pretty much anything with vampires
- I love vampires, have done since I was at least six years old, and live for vampire fanfiction in my non-vampire fandoms
- I’m getting back into gaming and have a PS4, Xbox One and PC, favourites include Assassin’s Creed, the newer Deus Ex games, Castlevania, Bloodborne, The Witcher 3 and Skyrim (which is the game that will never end nor die)
- I do enjoy watching films and TV shows, but my backlog is huge as gaming and reading are more appealing right now
- I’m liberal and left wing, and in generally do not get on with my political opposites because many of them basically think I should be denied basic human rights and wiped off the face of the planet
- I’m agnostic with a leaning towards nature and paganism
- I like ASMR as it’s very relaxing and I get the tingles
- I hate Shepherd’s pie, never feed it to me
- Mashed potato is gross
- I would say I’m not really a Fraggle, but certain people get upset when I do that
About the site
A blog in which I can waffle on about whatever I bloody well want to. The banner image is my own photography. The title is a play on the movie title Girl, Interrupted. It does the double job of expressing that my mental health is rocky, and also my journey of transitioning to male.
